- In spite of being under homeo medication for the past couple of days, the pain seems to have decided to make my knee its home for many days to come. I was hoping that wearing knee caps would help me with my routine, but the pharmacy close to home does not open until 10am. But today, they had opened up by the time I left for work and I was extremely grateful. Those tube fits really made my life easy today.
- My best girls from work and I have made plans to go out for dinner tomorrow. Lifted my mood to a good extent. Thanks girls... how would I have survived the past half year without you all. What goes around comes around and I pray with all my heart that whatever good you have done to me will come back to you all many folds. God Bless!!!
- I go home to hear the horrid news that daughter dearest locked herself accidentally in the toy room, with no light on around 6:30pm and didn't know how to open the door's latch to come out. Our closest friends from the apartment and the security person have come to the rescue of my MIL to get DD out of the room by banging on the door like in the movies and breaking the latch out of the door frame. I can only imagine the mental agony that that MIL would have been in until DD was out safe. I am blessed to have her with us who takes genuine, immense care of the kids all the time.
- The hotwheels car kit that I had ordered for son boy had come today and the happiness on his face while playing with it... no words to describe.. :)

Jan 9, 2018 - What went well today?
Jan 8, 2018 - What went well today?
- While in the metro today, as usual I was reading on my kindle and a gentleman picked up a conversation asking me about the kindle, different books, tipped me to try reading the 18 Maha Puranas that he himself is reading. When it was time to part ways, he introduced himself as Chakravarthy. Reading on kindle while on public transports does make people open up to me about themselves, their genre of interest, enquires on the books I am currently reading, etc. What a way to start the week/ day 😂
- This killing pain below my left knee drove me to the hospital after more than a week of suffering. The ortho explained stuff which wasn't very convincing... however, the x-rays revealed nothing. So the good thing is the bones on the left leg are fine. Need to get the lab tests done this week before I meet him again on Friday.

Jan 7, 2018 - What went well today?
First Sunday of 2018:
- Prod deployment went well without a hitch first thing in the morning.. the first one for the year.
- Was able to complete watching a 2.5hr Tamil movie in less than 5-6hrs... thanks to the ever attention demanding toddler duo 😊😊
- MIL had prepared the regular cabbage poriyal and its something I like.
- Son happily drank up the pomegranate juice made for him.
- Daughter dearest had high temperature following her vaccination shots yesterday and we got to spend time together hugging and kissing... though both of us cranky. She because of her fever and me.. as always.

Jan 6, 2018 - What went well today?
The first weekend of the year..
- Developed courage to take the kids to the docs to get their long pending vaccinations done. Son's was pending since last May and daughter's - those that had to be done before she turned 1 was still pending even after she turned 2.
- Reached the clinic and to my horror it did not exist. Asked around and came to know they had moved just couple of buildings away. Thank goodness for that :) .
- We had to wait a really long time for our turn with the doc and meanwhile the kids had their own fun time playing in the tiniest plastic slide kept there.
- When it was time to get the shots, 2 each, he cried his lungs out but she didn't shed a tear but kept saying it hurt. More than anything both were happy to get round bandages on each of the shot spots and kept showing off to each other.. Kids :D
- Trying for cab/ auto on app turned futile. Finally got into an auto who agreed to take the trip. The driver looked very familiar.. like our neighbor's ex-driver and he indeed was. Good... he knows the route then.
- The traffic jam at the ring road signal was insane. The auto driver at one point said he cannot proceed further in this commotion and asked us to get down. But finally headed to my request and dropped us home. It took us more than 1hr to reach home which was just 2km from the clinic.
- So far so good.
Jan 5, 2018 - What went well today?
Almost weekend...
- Daughter dearest was still asleep when I started to work and was able to reach a little earlier than usual. Oh!!! how I love to play with her in the mornings but it always gets me late to work. So on those days when she is still in her dreamland, I make use of it.
- Had to buy groceries on the way back home and picked few movie DVDs on the go... all pirated.
- Kids and I had a movie night watching Coco... Cute movie.
Jan 4, 2018 - What went well today?
- The best thing that happened today was that son boy woke up saying he had no body pain and is ready to go to school. Even on regular days he needs coaxing to get him to school but today was different. Glad he felt that better after last evenings sickness.
- Wore a crape black and yellow saree to work after many months. Most importantly, I wore a high neck, collared blouse for the first time. There is always a first time for everything after which you feel comfortable doing it. Be it getting along with new people or doing new things. Be it a good thing or bad.
- My left knee pain is not going away and today especially, is bad. One of my best girls from work gave me a lift until where I had parked my vehicle and I am immensely grateful.

Jan 3, 2018 - What went well today?
The day went by....
- Reached home and found son down with severe body pain and high fever. MIL complimented him on how he manages his sickness in a mature way. Felt proud of my offspring.
- Only after I was home, did he cry about how unwell he was and wanted me to be at his side. For a 5 yr old, this is maturity... not to trouble his granny but be himself with his mom. I am immensely proud that he could be so with me and me alone :)
- Homeopathic medicines to the rescue. Within an hour, he was feeling better. His temperature was still high but he had the strength to start the never ending, never tiring sibling fights with his sister. I was relieved that he was getting better.
- After eons, I was able to have a full nights sleep. Of course I had to wake up in-between to calm down both of them having full on dreams but I was able to go right back to sleep again and woke up only by 6 am (on 4th Jan). Felt refreshed.
